All of these pictures were shot while traveling with a group led by John and Kathy Baker (
http://www.travelimages.com) between November 13th and November 26th, 2007. Except for one shot the day before the trip from a kayak in the Abel Tasman National Park. We traveled south from Christchurch past Dunedin, then west to Te Anau and Milford Sound, then north to Mount Cook, stopping every 10 minutes to shoot something. These are the best of the 2500 shots I took.
My Bag for the trip:
1D III, 10D (backup, not used), 16-35 f2.8L, 70-200 f2.8L, 50 f1.8, 100 f2.8 Macro, 2x teleconverter, 580 EX Flash, (one shot uses a borrowed 500 f4 - thanks Barun)
One more boulder pic, because they are just so photogenic. Another long exposure, in this case with the waves actually lapping around my tripod legs.
